Isn't it time you stop settling on mediocre?
Don't settle petal. If you don't like it, change it.
If you don’t like your job, take steps to change it. You decide.
If you don't like the book you’re reading, put it down. You decide.
If you don't like the way you’re being treated, speak up. You decide.
If you don't like the movie you’re watching, get up and leave. You decide.
If you don't like the people you associate with, step away slowly. You decide.
If you don't love the person you’re with, work it out, or walk away. You decide.
If you don't like the way your life is headed, do something differently. You decide.
If you don't feel the same way about your goals as you did last year, set a new course. You decide.
Don't be that person who settles because it's expected, or the easy route. Or that person who is always complaining about something.
We all know that person. There is nothing enabling about that person.
The moment you begin to accept that you have control (and responsibility) over the way you think, feel and respond in any given situation is the moment you stop settling on mediocre choices that leave you feeling empty, or half-full at best.
Practice making meaningful and empowered choices every day so when the big decisions come around they won't feel so burdensome and scary.
It takes courage and honesty to step up and become the person you were meant to be.
Be that person.
In what area of your life are you currently settling?
Write down the first small step you can take today to create a positive shift? Then write down the next small step you can take tomorrow and every other day for the entire week. You decide.
